Website Take-Down

In preparation for the realignment and subsequent dissolution of Province V, the website will begin to be taken down today. Certain pages will remain up to be used throughout the assembly weekend. Following the spring assembly, the entirety of the website shall be removed. A zip file will be posted for download containing all of the files that have been backed up and saved for future use or reference. This download will remain available until the webpage’s domain name and webspace expire arond June or July. Complete backups of the webpage are available upon request (roath_eric@hotmail.com).

Hey everyone. Thanks for those of you who let me know about the error in downloading the Spring Packet. The problem has been fixed and all files should download correctly now. Thanks for your patience, and I apologize for the error.

100+ Hours Philanthropy Recognition

As we start getting closer to the Spring Assembly, it’s time that chapters take to the time to recognize brothers who have completed 100 or more hours of community service of the past year. Please fill out the form below for each brother completing 100 or more hours in the 2011-2012 academic year:

The Community Service Challenge stats for October have been posted. A page dedicated to information about the challenge will be posted soon. Several chapters (Upsilon, Delta Nu, and Epsilon Theta) have not submitted hours for the challenge. If you have questions about how to submit your hours please contact Brother Mishler.

Fall Assembly 2011 Wrap-Up

Dear Brothers,

On behalf of the Brothers of Delta Nu, we would like to formally thank you all for coming to Province V Fall Assembly. The past two years have spent meticulously planning for this occasion and we are truly grateful that we were able to share this weekend with you all.

To Vice Grand Regent Eric Gupta, Grand Ritualist Latha Radhakrishnan, Past Grand Regents Lawrence “LB” Brown and David Maszkiewicz, and our new Province V Supervisor Jean Starvaggi – Thank you very much for taking the time to come to Fall Assembly. Your presence truly made it much more special.

To our Province V Brothers and visiting Brothers – you all are the reason why we worked immensely to have the best Fall Assembly we could provide. It is because of the close Brotherhood we share that we wholeheartedly welcomed you to our city. Without each and every one of you – this weekend would not been possible.

Thank you to the Fall Assembly Committee for helping plan and execute such a great weekend. Without their help, none of this could have been possible. To our sponsors (Walgreens, CVS, Groupon, Starbucks, Lucky Strike, M&M Construction, and Tina Horsky), thank you for your generous monetary donations and raffle prizes.

Finally, I would personally like to thank the Brothers of Delta Nu. Province V Philanthropy Challenge

Brothers:

I hope your summer is winding down well and you’re getting geared up for school to start (if it hasn’t already)! I want to get the word out there about a new thing we’re doing at Province V so that you guys can get a start on it right away back on campus. This year, for philanthropy, the focus is Patient Education which encompasses many aspects of pharmacy and health care as a whole so I hope to see a lot of unique and creative events come through on the Chapter of the Year From (if you need anymore information you can visit the Province V website and visit the philanthropy page or email me). A new thing we’re stating this year is the Philanthropy Challenge. This will encompass continual communication between me and each individual chapter (at least once a month) in order to keep an up-to-date “chapter standing” on the website. This will allow chapters to see where they fit in the scheme of Province V in terms of total service hours. In order to make this work, I ask that each chapter email me on the 15th of every month with a quick description of philanthropy events completed that month and since the last email as well as a total number of hours spent serving for each event. Another new thing we’ll be doing is recognizing brothers (at the Spring Assembly) who complete over 100 hours this school year. So, I ask that each chapter keep track of brother’s hours and when the time gets closer for the Assembly, I’ll have a nomination form available for chapters to fill out in honor a brother who has completed the requirement! I hope this will add excitement and challenge to the Province V Philanthropy and make things a little interesting my makeing it a competetion between the chapters! If you have any questions, need recommendations for events, or need anything at all - I’m always available! I would like to get the first round of standings on the website by Fall Assembly so please email me with any hours by the 20th of Sept. so we can get something up there!

Update: Downloads Repaired

The downloads section has been fixed, so all of the links in that section should be working now. Also, the most recent version of the Province V Ordinances has been posted.

Update: Fall Assembly Registration

I just wanted to address some concerns that have been expressed regarding problems with the assembly registration. As far as I can tell, everything that has been posted should be working correctly. However, we have been having issues with our internet server, so it may be the cause of whatever problems people may be experiencing. Tech support is working on the problem. Please try registering again if you have been previously unsuccessful. Also, updates to the webpage may be delayed while the problems persist. I will let you know as I am able to get updates posted.

I filled in some missing information on the History page and fixed the links on the Map of the Provinces. I was a little fuzzy on some of the more recent history and I’m missing some of it entirely so if anyone notices anything out of place or knows some of the missing information let me know ASAP!

Routine Update 6-16-11

The Philanthropy page has been updated to reflect the current Province philanthropy for the 2011-2012 academic year. Also, the Officers page has been updated to feature pictures of the current Province officers and the contact email address I currently have for all of the officers. I’m aware that I do not have the emails for the supervisers listed as of yet, but other than that please let me know about any errors in those two pages. The monthly chapter correspondance for June will be combined into a June/July update that will be sent out in a couple of weeks as there is not currently a lot happening in the province. Be sure that if you have not done so yet, send in your filled out Chapter Proxy form to our GCC delegates so that your vote can be represented at GCC. Still to come: an update on the Snapfish account and details regarding the Fall Assembly to be hosted by Delta Nu.

Greeting brothers! I’m excited to announce that we’ve launched Province V pages for Facebook and Twitter users. Also, I’m hoping that we will be using Tumblr to compile our news & updates, so Google Reader users will be able to subscribe to the feed. Be sure you follow the following pages to get updates on province happenings. All updates will still be posted to Province V homepage, so if you’re not on Facebook or Twitter, don’t worry, we’ll still get you all the information you need.
